Hi! My new name is Gracie. I hitched a ride with a nice gal named Stephenie from an East
Texas shelter to dis Land of the Giants place here in Dallas.

Dis is my new hair cut and I am cleeeeeeeeeeeeeeen and smell good now!

Dis is what I looked like before my foster mom gave me a hair cut.

My foster mom sez I prolly hadn't been groomed in 6 months. I am hard coated (whatever dat means).
Boy, I think dese shrubs itch my skin real good! I haven't been able to itch my skin in a long time
cause my hair was all stuck together and yucky.
My foster mom sez you can see every bone in my body now dat all dem mats are off of me.
I don't know what she means. All I
know is that I am VERY HUNGRY all da time.
and yes, her tail really is as long as it looks...like about 6 inches long, and it never stops
waggin.
I'm not really sure of Gracie's age. She has me stumped because she is so emaciated.
I think she is around 5 years old. Her back legs have muscles like a racing
greyhound which leads me to believe she has gotten a lot of exercise in her past life.

Gracie went to the vet today to see why she is so skinny and to stop this raging diarrhea, ugh.
Vet found
a trace of hooks in the fecal so I suspect she had a massive case of hooks while at the shelter.
Her paper work sez
she was wormed so that could explain why she is so skinny.

No wonder I am hungry all da time...I only weigh 58 pounds.

SQUIRREL!!!! Hey, mom....dem squirrels is up dere again!

Gracie has come along way with her foster mom, Judi, and will be going to her new home in a
few days! She has gained about 10 pounds and
has gotten over the intestinal infection that has lasted for all these months. Giant thank you
to Judi for taking care of this sweet girl and getting her into a home of her own all healthy
and feeling good again!
